Pilot Finance Limited – (herein after referred to as the company), was incorporated in July, 1988 and obtain the CBN license to operate as a Bureau De Change in July 1989.The Company thereafter obtained the CBN Finance Company License in April, 1993.
In 1993 the company was licensed by both the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Nigeria Stock Exchange as a broker/Dealer and dealing member respectively.The company was restructured in 2004 with the Capital Market functions transferred to Pilot Securities Limited.
The company currently has an authorized share capital of N50 million out of which N36.5 million has been paid up.The company is a major shareholder in Pilot Securities Limited, a dealing member of the Nigeria Stock Exchange with a paid up capital of N200 million.The company through its subsidiary – Pilot Bureau De Change is also a major player in the foreign exchange market.
